National Assessment Program: Literacy & Numeracy 2008
All students at Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 in schools across Australia undertake the same NAPLAN tests on the same days. Students have their skills assessed in numeracy, reading, writing, spelling, punctuation and grammar.

ICAS Tests 2008 (University of NSW)
International Competitions and Assessments for Schools is conducted by Educational Assessment Australia, UNSW.
Ten countries now participate in ICAS. In Australia and New Zealand there are over 1.7 million entries. Caloundra City School students have once again obtained outstanding results with many students achieving results in the top 1% of the country.
